This policy explains how AlphaGrab uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) and how you control them. We only set strictly necessary storage by default; everything optional requires your explicit choice, wherever you are in the world.
You can review or change your consent — including opting out of any sale or sharing of personal information — at any time.
Strictly necessary(always on)
Required for the site to work — sign-in/session, security, rate-limiting and remembering your consent choices. These never store tracking data and cannot be switched off.
Functional
Remember choices you make to give you a richer experience, such as preferences that are not essential to core functionality.
Analytics
Help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. Aggregated and, where possible, pseudonymised — never used to identify you personally.
Marketing
Used to measure campaigns and show relevant offers. In US opt-out regimes this is what “Do Not Sell or Share” disables.
| Name | Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| ag_token | Strictly necessary | HttpOnly authentication cookie that keeps you signed in. It is not readable by app JavaScript. | Until sign-out or token expiry |
| ag_user | Strictly necessary | Caches your basic profile for the signed-in UI. | Until sign-out |
| theme | Strictly necessary | Remembers your light/dark appearance choice. | Persistent (until cleared) |
| ag_lang | Strictly necessary | Remembers your interface language so the app stays in the language you chose. | Persistent (until cleared) |
| ag_cookie_consent | Strictly necessary | Stores the consent choices on this page. | 180 days |
| affiliate_ref | Marketing | Remembers the affiliate link you followed so a later sign-up is credited to the referring partner. Set only with your marketing consent; without it the referral code is kept in memory for the current visit only. | 30 days |
| live-search-cache | Strictly necessary | Cache Storage entry of the installed app (service worker) holding your most recent event search results so they still show on a flaky connection. Contains search results only, no account data. | 5 minutes, at most 50 searches |
| _ga, _ga_* | Analytics | Google Analytics 4 — measures aggregated, pseudonymised page views and feature usage. Loaded only with your analytics consent. | Up to 2 years |
| _fbp | Marketing | Meta (Facebook) Pixel — campaign conversion measurement. Loaded only with your marketing consent. | Up to 3 months |
| _ttp | Marketing | TikTok Pixel — campaign conversion measurement. Loaded only with your marketing consent. | Up to 13 months |
